The Greek authorities slightly complicated the rules for entry of tourists into the country. It is true that we are talking only about tourists who enter the country with a certificate of coronavirus, the same certificate of recovery. Its validity, during which a tourist may enter Greece, is reduced from 180 to 90 days.

In addition, the authorities reminded travelers of the need to carry a certificate of vaccination or recovery when traveling in Greece, provided that the latter was issued thirty days after the positive result on COVID-19.

The decision to shorten the validity of the certificate that a tourist has had the coronavirus will affect citizens of 42 countries. These include Russia, as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, etc.

Tourists were also reminded of “fresh” rules of entry. According to them, all passengers arriving in Greece must present one of the following documents:

  • Certificate of vaccination – and it must show that 14 days have passed since the full vaccination against COVID-19 doses of vaccines approved by the Greek health authorities.
  • A certificate of convalescence showing that the passenger had been infected with COVID-19 at least 30 days before, with the document being valid for 90 days after it was issued.
  • A PCR test 72 hours before departure or an express test 48 hours before departure.
  • EU “digital certificate” for COVID-19

Any of these documents must be translated into Greek, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian or Russian.
