Kolkata – Dibrugarh – Ziro Valley – Kaziranga National Park – Guwahatti – Kolkata A unique journey through northeast India to the remote state of Arunachal Pradesh.

We invite you on a unique journey through unknown India!

The state of Arunachal – Pradesh is one of the most beautiful, mysterious and closed regions of northeastern India. It is inhabited by more than 20 ethnic tribes, the most famous of which is the Apatani tribe. The traditions of this tribe have survived to this day, but die with the last generation of Apatani women.

Today we can still see the amazing faces of the Apatani tribe their rituals and traditional costumes. The best time for this is the annual Mjoko Festival, during which the Apatani perform magical rituals and sacrifices to strengthen clan bonds, health and fertility.

On our tour you will have the opportunity to do your own ethnographic exploration, learning about the everyday life, traditions and the rare Doni Polo religion practiced by the tribe.

In the second part of the trip we will visit Kaziranga National Park in Assam. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to 2/3 of the world’s one-horned rhinoceros population. We take an elephant safari and observe rhinos in their natural habitat.

Arunachal Pradesh is still a blank spot on the map of India. Only 400 foreign tourists visit the region a year, and special permits are required to enter!
